Easter closures TOWN OF CALEDON

The Mayor, Members of Council and Town of Caledon staff wish you and your families an active, happy and healthy long weekend.

The following closures will be in effect over the 2019 Easter weekend:

 

TOWN HALL

Town Hall is closed on Good Friday (April 19) and over the weekend, but re-opens on Monday April 22.

 

CALEDON FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES

The Caledon Fire and Emergency Services Administration Office (6211 Old Church Road) is closed on Good Friday (April 19) and over the weekend, but re-opens on Monday April 22.

In an emergency dial 9-1-1.

 

CALEDON ANIMAL SHELTER

The Animal Shelter at 12889 Coleraine Drive, Bolton, will be closed on Good Friday and on Easter Sunday, but open its usual business hours on Saturday, April 20 and Monday, April 22.

 

PROVINCIAL OFFENCES COURT

The Provincial Offences Court in Caledon East and the Dufferin County Court House in Orangeville will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday but will re-open on Tuesday, April 23.

 

CALEDON PUBLIC LIBRARY

All branches of the Caledon Public Library will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday, and Easter Monday. Branches will be open for regular business hours on Saturday, April 20.

 

RECREATION

All facilities will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, with the following exceptions:

  • The Albion Bolton Community Centre, the Caledon East Community Complex and Rotary Place for religious services only.
  • The Caledon East Community Complex is open on Easter Sunday.

Facilities will be open their regular hours on Saturday, April 20 and on Easter Monday.

WASTE AND RECYCLING

Please refer to Region of Peel website for collection information: peelregion.ca/waste.

 

AFTER-HOURS EMERGENCIES

For after-hours emergencies such as downed trees on roads or flooding call the Region of Peel at 1.800.563.7881. 

For power outages or to report downed wires, call Hydro One at 1-800-434-1235. View the real-time status of a power outage on their outage map.

If the emergency is life-threatening, call 9-1-1.
